Export and delete your Feelments data: what each action does
What you can do
Connections contains controls to export your records as JSON or CSV and delete records by source. Exporting does not remove data. Revoking an AI connection stops its authorised access but keeps your records; deleting data is a separate action.
Before you start
Decide whether you need a copy, a correction, less shared information or removal. For a single typo, editing is usually enough. Before a broad deletion, download the records you want to keep and open the file to check it. The current export is portable data, not a one-click restore promise.
Step by step
- 1
Open Connections and find the Your data section. Expand the export controls. This is separate from connecting an assistant or importing a conversation.
- 2
Choose a start and end date if you want a limited period. Leaving the bounds empty includes all available dates. Keep the start date on or before the end date.
- 3
Select the record types you want to include, such as intakes, feelings or measurements. Select at least one. Check the selection again if you are preparing a file for someone else.
- 4
Choose JSON for structured data, including applicable settings, or CSV for a table of records. The full JSON uses Feelments Health Memory 0.2. Filtered exports include only the relevant record types and associated configuration; CSV is not a full settings backup.
- 5
Download and open the file. Check the date range, a few names, values and units against Timeline. Store it somewhere you control. If you only needed a copy, stop here; none of the deletion controls are necessary.
A worked example
| Example | How to record or read it |
|---|---|
| Export JSON / CSV | Creates a copy. Your original Feelments records stay in place. |
| Delete one entry | Use the entry’s delete control and check the selected event before confirming. |
| Delete records by source | In Connections, inspect the source and count before confirming. This may remove many entries. |
| Revoke an AI connection | In the authorised-clients list, revoke that client. Existing records and text already sent elsewhere are not deleted. |
| Delete your account | Use the account deletion control in Settings and read the confirmation. This is broader than revoking one connection. |
Check the result
If the downloaded file is empty, confirm that the selected period and types actually contain records. For example, a feeling rating will not appear in a measurements-only export. If you revoke a connection, check that it disappears from the authorised list; do not expect your Timeline to disappear.
Questions and troubleshooting
Can I import the JSON to restore everything?
A complete round-trip importer for all FHM 0.2 records and settings is not currently provided. Do not delete originals on the assumption that this file can restore the whole account.
Does deleting a source stop future syncing?
Treat deletion and disconnection separately. A still-connected source may write new data again. If your aim is to stop future access or delivery, revoke or disconnect that source as well and check its status.
What this does and does not tell you
Export files may contain sensitive personal information. Review them before sharing, and manage copies separately from your Feelments account. Deleting records in Feelments does not recall a file you downloaded or text you sent to an AI. Consult the privacy policy for the service’s data handling.
