Feelments guides
How to log meals and supplements, then correct an entry
What you can do
Use a separate entry for each meal or intake you want to distinguish. To fix a mistake, open Edit record on the existing entry; Record again creates another event. Feelings are daily ratings, while measurements hold numeric values such as body weight.
Before you start
Open Today on the day you want to record. The examples below use fictional meals and amounts to explain the controls; they are not food or supplement recommendations. You can record a name without calculating calories or nutrients.
Step by step
- 1
Select a category and name. Pick a matching search result, or create your own private item. Make the name specific enough that you can recognise it next week.
- 2
Add an amount and the correct unit if known. For food and drinks, you can also choose a meal such as lunch or dinner. A serving count is not a nutrient dose: do not convert one pill into milligrams without knowing its contents.
- 3
Enter the exact time only if known, add a short detail if useful, and save. For another occurrence of the same item, save a second entry. Leaving the time blank preserves that uncertainty; choosing lunch does not mean exactly 12:00.
- 4
To correct an entry, find it in the day’s records and choose Edit record. Change the amount, unit, time, meal, detail or date, then save changes. The item name is fixed in this editor. If you selected the wrong item, remove that entry and add the correct one.
- 5
Use the feeling controls for a daily subjective rating. For a numeric reading, choose Add a number under Body & device numbers, select the metric, check its unit and save. Correct or delete the reading from the same list in Today.
A worked example
| Example | How to record or read it |
|---|---|
| Lunch: curry, 1 serving | Save as its own lunch entry, with no exact time if unknown. |
| Dinner: curry, 2 servings | Save a separate dinner entry rather than replacing lunch. |
| Lunch was actually half a serving | Edit only lunch to 0.5. Dinner should still show 2 servings. |
Check the result
Read back the date, meal and amount after saving. In the example, you should see two entries, not three, after the correction. Reopen the relevant date in Timeline. If you moved an entry to another date, check the destination day too.
Questions and troubleshooting
Should I use Record again to fix a quantity?
No. Record again creates a new event with reusable details. Edit record changes the selected record. If an accidental duplicate exists, verify which entry is extra before deleting it.
What can I leave blank?
For an intake or habit entry, the name is enough. A measurement needs a numeric value. Unknown times or amounts should stay unknown; a blank is not zero.
Can I correct an older entry?
Find its date in Timeline and open the entry’s edit controls. Food and habit entries use the same editor as Today. For a numeric reading, use Today’s measurement controls on that date.
What this does and does not tell you
A meal name does not automatically calculate calories, nutrients or recipe ingredients. A personal item is a label for your records, not a verified product factsheet. These records describe what you entered and cannot establish that an item caused a change in how you felt.
