A supplement providing serrapeptase (serratiopeptidase), a protein-digesting (proteolytic) enzyme originally isolated from bacteria associated with silkworms. Taken as enteric-coated tablets or capsules.

Worth knowing

Serrapeptase was formerly sold as a prescription medicine in Japan (withdrawn from the market in 2011) and is sold as a supplement in some other countries; it may interact with anticoagulant (blood-thinning) medicines. Feelments records intake only — talk with a clinician before use.
