Dimming screens before bed: real, but smaller than the hype
Evidence is mixed or early — not worth paying for yet. · Small or few RCTs, or mixed results.
The famous study used e-readers at full brightness and found a 10-minute delay. At normal phone brightness the effect is smaller and less consistent. Worth trying if you have nothing else to change; the caffeine cutoff and a fixed wake time move the needle more.
